University of Tennessee makes available an online Certification Exam Preparation Course for participants to enhance the quality and safety of clinical and translational research, as well as prepare for taking the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) Clinical Research Professional certification exam.

SOCRA is a non-profit, charitable and educational membership organization that provides education, certification, and networking opportunities to everyone involved in clinical research. The organization offers the Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) program to evaluate and document knowledge, understanding, and application of the principles underlying conduct of clinical investigations involving human beings in accordance with recognized standards: the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice E6 (GCP); ICH Clinical Safety Data Management: Definitions and Standards for Expedited Reporting (E2A); the United States Code of Federal Regulations (CFR); and the ethical principles that guide clinical research as articulated in the Nuremberg Code, the Belmont Report and the Declaration of Helsinki.
